Romeo Saganash, candidate for leadership of the federal New Democratic Party, will visit Kitchener Waterloo on Sunday, January 15th and you’re invited to meet and get to know Romeo.

6:00-6:45—Waterloo Town Square—Join Romeo for a casual evening ice-skate in the Square! Bring your skates!

7:00-9:00—Barley Works (Huether Hotel, 59 King Street N, Waterloo—The Cavern Room) – Romeo will speak about who he is, why he wants to lead the NDP, and what his vision is as Prime Minister of Canada. Light appetizers will be provided. Romeo will give a short speech followed by a question and answer period, after which Romeo will be available to meet and greet with those present.

Where: Meet in the parking lot of the Food Basics Plaza at the corner of University and Fischer-Hallman University Avenue, between Fischer-Hallman and Westmount Waterloo, ON

The Kitchener-Waterloo NDP has "adopted" University Avenue between Westmount and Fischer-Hallman. That means that we are responsible for keeping it clean (two cleanups a year does the trick) and we get signage at both ends giving us credit for doing so. The signs went up in June 2008 and we have held seven cleanups to date. We'd appreciate any help that you could give with our tenth cleanup.

UPDATE: We were rained out on October 15, so we're going to try again on October 22.
